Some clarifying to be done regards part one following feedback from readers - all regarding the map featured at the start of the article in Speedway Star
The title of the map is a bit misleading.
This map shows a direct comparison between who ran in the British League in 1990 and who ran jn 2026.
Names in red are of clubs running in 1990 but not in 2026 e.g. Newcastle.
Names in black are clubs who were racing in 1990 and 2026 e.g. Belle Vue.
Tracks not running in 1990 won't appear e.g. Birmingham.
Middlesbrough are red as they were not running in 2026 but were in 1990 though Redcar are based in Middlesbrough so arguably that should have Redcar in black next to Middlesbrough in red.
I hope that makes a bit more sense now.
